Powering the Power House: New Perspectives on Country House Communities was a two-day conference taking place at the University of Sheffield and Chatsworth on 25th – 26th June 2018. This conference brought together academics and heritage professionals to discuss new directions in the research and interpretation of historical country house communities, and approaches to the engagement of new audiences.

On this website you can find information about registration, the keynote paper, the programme and how to contact the conference organising committee.

We are grateful to have received funding from Chatsworth, the Royal Historical Society and the Economic History Society.
